The 2021 World Cup is to be held from May 7th to 23rd in Belarus and Latvia, with the venues Minsk and Riga. However, the appointment can possibly be postponed. Latvia welcomes world champion Finland to play the games in the „Arena Riga“. In addition, Latvia is playing in Group B against the USA, Germany, Norway, Italy, Kazakhstan and Canada. According to the current IIHF rating, the Russian team should actually play in Group B, but there was an exchange between Russia and Canada.

The Russian team therefore contests their games in Minsk, where they also celebrated their last world championship title in 2014. In Group A, the Belarusian team also receives teams from Sweden, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Slovakia, Denmark and Great Britain. All Group A games will be played in the „Minsk Arena“, where the final will also take place on May 23, 2021.
