Ervin’s Mustukovs does not tire and continues his career. The 36-year-old Goaltender veteran, who can also be called a globetrotter, is moving to the Czech Republic for the first time. It is his seventh nation in his long career.

Born in the Latvian capital Riga, he started his career as a youth and junior player with “Stalkers Juniors Daugavpils”. In the 2003-04 season was his first international stop, the “motherland” of ice hockey: Canada. After a year with “Drummondville Voltigeurs” in the QMJHL, he returns to Latvia. After two years at “Metalurgs Liepaja”, he followed up with his second international position. In the United States, Mustukovs commuted between ECHL and SPHL, but was never really happy. After another two years, he returned home and was active at HK Riga and Dinamo Riga.

For the 2010-11 season, his engagement with the “Sheffield Steelers” in the British EIHL was his third international assignment. Then Ervins started traveling: Denmark (Odense Bulldogs, Esbjerg Energy, Aalborg Pirates), Sweden (Mora), France (Grenoble, Nice, Mulhouse) followed. In between, Ervin was under contract with the Sheffield Steelers for two more seasons (2016 – 2018). In the last season, canceled by COVID-19, he played with “Olimp Riga”. Now he accepted an offer from the Czech HC Poruba.

For the Latvian national team, Mustukovs took part in three Juniors World Championships with the U18 and U20. For the senior national team, he was in the squad at two Olympic Games and two World Championships, but only played one game (World Cup in Denmark 2015 vs Canada).
