Champions Välk 494 start the season with an 8-1 win over HC Everest – Narva PSK wins away 5-2 at Viking Tallinn.

For the clubs from Estonia, the new season started this weekend. All four teams were in action and Master HK Välk 494 started the new season program accordingly.

The game started with a surprise. After less than a minute, Parshin is ideally suited to Baraev and he scores 1-0 for Everest. (1.). But Välk countered and only 22 seconds later Tihhomirov to 1-1, the pass on came from Kuznetsov. The champion was now well awake and only a few minutes later Titarenko scored with the 2-1 the first lead in the game (8.). It was a rough game and both teams came to power plays. Välk was more effective in these situations and Garanin scored in a power play 3-1 (15.). Just before the break Vörang scored the 4-1 and with this goal seemed to be the decision early (20.).

In the meantime period Välk took the tempo out of the game, Everest came to one or the other good chance, but left them unused. For half-time of the game Välk came back to a power play and Sorokin scored after a pass from Kutznetsov the 5-1 (30.). Shortly thereafter, Everest had two consecutive power play, but no goal could be scored. Champion Väk also let another power play pass.

In the final period Everest was playfully no longer available and made it very easy Välk. Vörang scores the final decision in the match with a 6-1 (49.). A few minutes later it was Kuznetsov himself, he scored the 7-1 and entered the scorer list (54.). The final point is achieved by Garanin, who, also with his second goal, scored one second before the end the final score of 8-1 (60.). With this victory Champion Välk celebrates a debut to measure.

In the second game of the day, Narva PSK was visiting Viking Tallinn. It was followed by a very hard run by Viking first period, the team conceded a total of 26 penalty minutes. Narva could not be deprived of these Power Palys. It was almost five minutes played and Vassilijev scored the 1-0 (5.). Viking was on the penalties with one player less on the ice and only minutes later it was 2-0. Again it was Vassilijev who struck with a double strike (12.).

Viking got into the game better after the break. Only with a power play the connection goal could be achieved, Novikov shortened to 1-2 (23.). After that, it was an open exchange of blows, and many good chances were awarded on both sides. The preliminary decision in this game fell short before half-time with a double strike by Narva. Bogdanov scores 3-1 (28.) and only one minute later Saprykin scored the 4-1 (29.), Viking did not recover. Shortly before the break meets Anohhin to 5-1 (38.) and thus was the air at Viking final outside. Narva continued to control the game until the second break.

In the final period, Narva reversed two gears, but left no great chances for Tallinn more. With controlled play Narva dominated the opposing team. Although Viking succeeds through Antonov 2-5 (53.), but at the game exit changed nothing more. Narva PSK wins surprisingly and deserves the opening game against Viking Tallinn and is in second place behind Leader Välk.
