Avtomobilist beat Neftekhimik, where Bikmullin scored the hattrick, 5-3 – Captain Nigel Dawes scored two goals and scored in the fifth game in a row.

Avtomobilist had to defend his white vest today in Nizhnekamsk. But simply this project was not. Neftekhimik was the last home winners against Metallurg and Dinamo Riga. Overall, Nizhnekamsk also scored seven in five games.

After just four minutes Bikmullin brought the home side 1-0 in front (4.). Two and a half minutes later, Obidin had too much room. This used the 22-year-old with his second goal of the season and scored the 1-1 equalizer (7.).
Neftekhimik wanted to go back into the lead, but Avtsin failed to Avtomobilist goalie Fomin, who came for the first time in place of Kovar used. The slightly battered Czech was spared for the first time this season by coach Andrei Martemyanov. Neftekhimik was in the episode hard and so they were allowed two overpay games unused. Avtomobilist, however, acted skillfully. One minute before the first break Mozer still missed a big chance of the guests. But another break Dawes scored, with his shot into the short corner, the 2-1 (20.). The Canadian scored so already in the fifth game in a row.

In the second period Yekaterinburg controlled the game and Neftekhimik had a hard time. So there were only a few good goal scenes. The best of them had Avtomobilist newcomer Holland, after a Dan Sexton shot in the aftermath. A power play brought in the 29th minute but the equalizer. After a mighty Zakharchuk shot, Avtomobilist could only fend off goalie Fomin with his shoulder. This took advantage of Bikmullin, with his second goal, to dust off 2-2. Now Neftekhimik had a good phase. At first Khairullin forgave on his own, but in the 31st minute Bikmullin slammed the puck into the far corner (31.). The home side made the game within two minutes, and Bikmullin scored the first hat-trick in his brief KHL career. Avtomobilist was immediately offensive and this quickly led to a power play for the guests. There Neftekhimik goalie Barulin was powerless after an ideal pass from Holland to the waiting in the middle Geoff Platt and it was called, not four minutes later, again balanced 3-3 (35.).

In the final period the visitors were clearly better and this led in the 45th minute by Mozer also to renewed lead to 4-3 (45.). In the 54th minute Neftekhimik received a penalty and 39 seconds later had another bad Neftekhimik player after a bad change of players on the cool box. This took Avtomobilist Captain Dawes for his second goal in the game, and with this 5-3 fixed the 34-year-old also the final score (56.).
