Mark Kaleinikovas moves to Latvia and Dominyk Bogdziul relocates to Sweden.
Lithuanian team defender Mark Kaleinikovas will move from the „Kitzbüheler Adler“ from Austria to the Latvian club „HK Liepaja“. Kaleinikovas’s career began in Russia in the U17 team of Salavat Yualev Ufa. For the season 1015-16 he returns to his home country to Liepaja. Kaleinikovas played in Liepaja in the senior team, in the juniors and in the U18 team „SSS“. Since 2014-15 he also played in the Lithuanian U18 and U20 national team, often playing two world championships in a season. After a strong season 2016-17 he went to China to „KRS Junior“, the farm team of KHL club „Kunlun Red Star“. At the end of the season, he made it to Lithuania at the IIHF home World Cup promotion to the Div IB. After that, it was due to injury silent about the forward, after some games at HS Riga, it went to Austria. In the „Eagles“ he completed only six games. Now Kaleinikovas wants to restart and tries it in Latvia at HK Liepaja.
A second Lithuanian player tries his luck abroad. The 21-year-old Dominyk Bogdziul, the younger brother of Daniel Bogdziul (25, plays in Germany at EC Nordhorn) will play next season in Sweden at Olofströms SK, 2nd Division. Bogdziul has always played abroad, starting his career in Finland, at Ässät. There he played in the U16 and U17 team. For the season 2015-16 he is leaping to the USA for the „Rochester Ice Hawks“. In the first year, he scored 49 points (20G / 29A). Then the „Binghamton Jr. Senators“ got him where he finished the season with 119 points (43G / 76A) and came into the play-offs. The following season spent Bogdziul in the NAHL at the „Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Knights“ and the „Lone Star Brahmas“ before it went back to Binghamton, and again he came into the play-offs. The following year he was with the „Syracuse Jr. Stars“ and came to 47 points (16G / 31A). Despite these good performances, he did not want to make the big jump, and wants to draw attention to himself in Sweden with Olofströms again.
