U20 national player Dominykas Motiejünas moves to Twin City Thunder within the league
The 19-year-old Defender remains in the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL). Motiejünas moves from the Potomac Patriots after two seasons to the Twin City Thunder in the USPHL.
Born in Vilnius he played in youth at the U16 of “PILDYK Vilnius”. In the season 2014-15 his first foreign station followed, after Latvia to “SK Riga 14”. The following year he moved to Finland, where he gained further experience in the U16 of “SaiPa”. He played for SaiPa for a total of six seasons and was in action from the U16 to the U18 team. For the season 2016-17 followed the leap to the US to the “Potomac Patriots” in the USPHL. At the end of the season Motiejünas returned to Lithuania to help out with the “Gelezinis Vilkas” and also played for the team from Vilnius in the play-offs. At the beginning of 2018-19 Motienünas played for four games in Sweden at “Wings HC J20” before it went back to the Patriots. Last season he scored 8 points (2G / 6A).
Motejünas has been to six world championships for the U18 national and U20 national team, and for the A team in the enlarged squad last year.
