The 32-year-old defender remains in the Slovak Tipsportliga and signs a contract with HC Detva. Andersons comes from the youth of HK Prizma Riga. At 17, he ventured to Sweden and played in the U18 at Stocksunds. One year later at the juniors of AIK and one season after that at Almtunas. These years were very instructive, he came in both teams also to missions in the A team. During this time he also played in the Latvian U18 and U20 national team and was present at four World Championships.

After Sweden we went back to Latvia to Riga 2000 and then to the Czech Republic to Vsetinska hokejova. In the 2007-08 season Andersons remained in the Czech Republic and went to HC Trinec, was awarded at the end of the season to HK Jestrabi Prostejov for six games. After a total of three years at Trinec, with intermediate stops at Dukla Jihlava, Havirov and Sumperk, he returned to Latvia in 2010-11. There Andersons played for Dinamo Riga in the KHL and Metalurgs Liepaja in the Belarusian League. There followed another leap to Ukraine to Kompanion Kiev. From there we went to Germany to the Heilbronn Falcons in the DEL2.

After only one season, the defender moved to Slovakia to the traditional club Dukla Trencin. A year later, he moved within the league for three years to HKM Zvolen. Another stopover was MsHK Zilina, where he reached the play-offs. A year later, he hired at Nove Zamky, also here he came to the play-offs. The HC Detva had some painful departures after the end of this season and Anderson was engaged in a very seasoned defender. For the Latvian senior team, he participated in six World Championships and an Olympic qualification.
