With Martins Freimanis, Maris Dilevka and Maris Miezis confirmed Liepaja three more players.

The HK Liepaja continues to rely on much experience and was able to announce three new additions. With the 25-year-old defender Martins Oskars Freimanis another player returns to his native city. Freimanis comes from the youth of Metalur Liepaja and also gained experience in European ice hockey. Freimanis played in Lithuania (Baltic Vilnius), Moldova (Platina Chisinau) and Austria (EHC Lustenau). For the season 2014-15 he came back to Liepaja and also completed some games at the HK Mogo. At the beginning of the season 2018-19 Freimanis tried it in the US at the SPHL team of Pensacola Ice Flyers. He returns home after five games, to the HK Kurbads, and he reached the Paly-offs. For the coming season Lepaja took him again under contract.

Another new crack comes from league rival HK Zemgale. The 24-year-old forward Maris Miezis was previously active only in the Latvian league, alternately for Liepaja and Zemgale. Last season, Miezis scored 24 points (12G/12A) and was also in the play-offs, but remained without another point. Liepaja is taking advantage of the opportunity to sign up for the upcoming Baltic League and obliges the forward for a strong team for the new season.

As the third player in the league, the very experienced 27-year-old forward Maris Dilevka has been contracted. Like his two future players, Dilevka also comes from Liepaja and from the youth of Metalurg. After a few years in the Latvian league, he ventured in 2013-14 the leap to Moldova to Platina Chisineau and was a teammate of Martins Freimanis. After only one season he comes back to Liepaja. Last season it was his second attempt abroad, this time in the second Norwegian league, at Gjovik. With the Norwegians Dilevka reached an impressive 27 points (16G/11A) in thirty games. Reason enough for Liepaja to commit the forward for the new season. For the Latvian national team Dilevka was at three World Championships with the U18 and U20.
