In the counterattack Savainen came another chance, he shoots the puck far over the gate. 20 seconds before the break Mosey had to go to the penalty box and Finland had a power play that was taken to the middle period.

After the break, only 24 seconds were played, because Finland uses this power play and Rajala scored the 1-0. The spell was broken and the Finns were now the better team. Only a few minutes later, Ohtamaa make it 2-0 (26.). After that, the British were able to make the game more open, but the odds remained out. Finland continued to play their game and Kivirante increased to 3-0 (35.). With this goal, the game was also decided.

In the final period, the British had twice the possibility of a power play, which were not used. Three minutes before the end, Britain took the goalie off the ice. The Finns took advantage of this chance and Kuusela scored the 4-0 (58.) with an empty net goal. Shortly thereafter, Finnand came back to a power play and Lehtonen scores eleven seconds before the end the 5-0 (60.). That was also the final score and Finland is now first in Group A.
