Hockey Punks beat Kaunas Hockey away 4-0 – two goals from Kuveka
After the derby victory over Iron Wolf, the punks in the away game at Kaunas Hockey wanted to refuel, to celebrate the next victory.
In the starting period did playfully very little, both teams played waiting, and therefore took very little risk. In addition, both teams each had two power plays, but remained without goals. So it went with a 0-0 in the first break.
But that should change after the beginning. It took a while, but it was just over three minutes played at halftime, when, after a good move from Markovsky, Kuveka scored the 1-0 lead for the Punks (34.). This goal gave the guests of course a boost, Kaunas could react in this phase only with penalties. The Punks even had the possibility of a 5:3 Power-Plays, but that remained unused. A few seconds before the second break Truksyns scored, after Pikcius pass, the 2-0 for the Punks (40.).
The Punks took the momentum from the middle period into the last period. After 73 seconds Rimkus scored the 3-0, which also meant a preliminary decision in desem game at the same time. When Kaunas was beaten 4-0 by a solo Kuveka with his second goal in the match (51.), Kaunas was beaten. The host came very hard when, in the main, in the game, even a power-play opportunity was left out. Towards the end it got rougher again and sat with Punks player Manomaitis two Kaunas Cracks, Morozov and Leavitt, on the penalty bench. The situation calmed down and the punks celebrated a 4-0 away win in Kaunas.
