The 28-year-old forward, Tadas Kumeliauskas,  changes from russian team Saryarka Karaganda (VHL) to Memmingen Indians (GER3).

The ECDC Memmingen has responded to his tense personnel situation and committed a reinforcement for the offensive with Tadas Kumeliauskas. The 28-year-old striker is already running up against pastures for the Indians.

After several weeks, the officials of the ECDC Memmingen were looking for reinforcements. From the numerous options in favor of the Lithuanian international Tadas Kumeliauskas a new striker has been contracted. This commitment became possible only after Lubor Pokovic’s German passport was issued last week.
Kumeliauskas is 28 years old and comes to Memmingen from the multinational VHL, where mostly Russian teams compete. He has already gained experience in several countries, i.a. Latvia, Kazakhstan and Finland. In Finland he was even active in the Eliteliga at TPS, before he had to take a break for one year due to injury. After this involuntary break, he completed as a follow-up 32 games for Dresden Icelions in the DEL2 (GER), where he could contribute 23 points (10 goals / 13 Assist). In the past season, he then played in Russia with Saryarka Karaganda, now he moved to Memmingen to support the Indians in the last months of the season.

The 1.90m forward can be used in several positions in the attack. In addition, in recent years he has always been an integral part of the Lithuanian national team. With the selection of his country he plays, with the appropriate nomination of Head Coach Dan Lacroix, at the end of April at the IIHF World Championship Division IA in Kazakhstan.

In the league, GER 3 (Oberliga Süd), also plays Povias Verenis, who also changed a few days ago to league rivals EHC Waldkraiburg.
