The international “Baltic Challenge Cup” in ice hockey will take place from 8-11 November 2018 in Vilnius.
In November, the hockey fans in Vilnius can expect an impressive ice hockey tournament. The Lithuanian ice hockey team fights with other strong nations for the coveted tournament trophy. Good news in advance, with Turkish Airlines a potent sponsor could be found, so the official Nake of the tournament is “Turkish Airlines Baltic Challenge Cup”. Not only will this tournament be a big challenge for the new Lithuanian national team ahead of the IAH World Championship in Astana in April 2019, but it also offers an extraordinary opportunity to see a high level of hockey matches and compete with strong teams
The “Turkish Airlines Baltic Challenge Cup” will be played in a new mode this year, and the format of the tournament will be divided into two groups rather than the last four teams, with six group winners competing for the title and the other teams on the last day of the tournament around the respective placement. At this tournament, the new head coach, Daniel Lacroix, can be seen for the first time. No less, it is also that in Vilnius other strong teams will be seen. The Lithuanian national team is in a group with – Japan and Belarus – who have relegated this year from the top division – to play for the title.
There will be available daily tickets and tournament passes for the tournament. These can now be purchased at www.bilietai.lt.
